We respect your Right to Erasure under Section 12 of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Google Play Store policies. Here is how you can permanently erase your data.

Section 01

How to Delete via App

The fastest way to delete your account is directly through the InternshipUncle Android app. This ensures your identity is verified through your active authenticated session.

Open Settings

Launch the app and go to the More tab (bottom right), then tap on Settings.

Select Account Deletion

Under the Account section, tap on Delete Account.

Confirm Permanent Erasure

Review the warning and confirm. Your account will be immediately signed out and scheduled for permanent database erasure.

What Happens Upon Deletion?

Irreversible Action: Account deletion is permanent. Once processed, you will permanently lose access to your progress, saved jobs, and generated resumes.

When you request deletion, the following actions take place within 7 days in accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023:

  • Your personal profile (name, email, skills, education details) is permanently erased from our primary database.
  • All uploaded resume PDFs and parsed documents in private storage buckets are permanently removed.
  • Your mock interview history, analyzed job descriptions, and AI feedback are permanently purged.
  • Your authentication tokens and third-party links (Google OAuth) are severed immediately.

Data Retention Policy

In accordance with statutory requirements and cybersecurity practices under Indian law:

  • Zero PII Retention: No personally identifiable information is retained after the 7-day purge window.
  • Aggregated Logs: Anonymized, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained solely for platform reliability.
  • Security & Incident Logs: Essential security access logs to prevent fraud or unauthorized system intrusion are purged after 90 days.

Need help or cannot access the app?

If you have uninstalled the app or are having trouble with the deletion process, you can submit an offline erasure request directly to our Grievance Officer.
